Now more than ever, your staff needs you to be positive and upbeat as they come to the end of the term. The leader’s attitude is contagious and your staff need you to give them some energy (and love) at this time of the year.

If you want to see your team finishing the term with energy, enthusiasm and optimism then it is important that you model that behaviour.

Whilst I know that you are busy, I’d encourage you to be out in the corridors before school, in the staffroom and playground during breaks and in other key areas during peak times. Try to be upbeat. Smile, look for things to praise and genuinely show your appreciation for them showing up and finishing the term strong.

Having a positive presence in your school needs to be a priority at this time of the year – You’ve got this!
