Every decision you’ve made, every conversation you’ve had and every crisis you have steered your team through has shaped the culture of your school. Even when the wins felt small, they mattered — to your staff, your students and your community.

Take time to celebrate what went well this year. Think about the programs that flourished, the teachers who grew in confidence, the students who found success and the sense of belonging you helped to build. Reflecting on these moments isn’t self-indulgent — it’s essential renewal.

As you look back, ask yourself:

• What am I proud of achieving this year?
• What did I learn as a leader?
• Who made a difference to me — and have I thanked them?
• How can I start next year with clarity and optimism?

Amid the challenges, remember that your leadership has made a real and lasting difference. Pause, breathe and give yourself permission to feel proud. Finish strong and then enjoy the break when it arrives. You’ve earned it!
